Wondering if anybody is seeing this same issue. I have 2 x 1080 FTWs with new HB SLI Bridge. I save all the LED color settings in the Precision XOC 6.0.2 and tell it to load profiles upon Windows startup. When I reboot my system or wake system from standby, when it comes back up the LED color is back to the stock blue/white setting. I have to open Precision XOC and manually set it back. Anybody know how to permanently set the color and it stay? Normally I would leave it at stock color setting and call it a day. However, the stock LED colors on both cards dont match each other. One card has a more white led and the other is more blue hue.

I also have two FTWs and am very upset that the colors do not match in white for my black and white build. I have not found a fix but I might RMA.

Having the same problem, but only own one FTW. Hopefully a PrecisionX update will fix this.

So basically EVGA failed adding some type of memory system on board to save color profiles at start up? Come on bois...even 2nd tier companies like Zotac has this nailed down.

Yepp and the new Precisionx is very buggy. OC scanner randomly starts when coming out of standby. But at the end of the day I don't even want to change the color. All I want is 2 LEDs that match. Dont matter what the color is. When you spend $1400 on GPUs, both cards should be identical.

mbvincelli, my cards look almost exactly like your picture... have you talked to EVGA about this? I tried via email but it seems it wont go through. One of mine has a the EVGA sticker peeling back with exposes the RGB lighting and is quite bad looking. I've never bought from EVGA before, would they RMA for physical defects like that?

Yepp. EVGA Tier 2 support wasn't really interested in replacing the card. Instead they wanted me to troubleshoot the Precision X issues and send them detailed pics of what I did and what the results were. Wasted 2 hours of my time documenting it, when they should bug test this themselves. I don't want to change color at this point. I had similiar issue last year with my GTX 980ti Evga sticker. They sent me another card after I sent images. Here is the kicker. It seems the first batch of anything EVGA you want to pass on. Last year I was part of the first 980ti batch that was directly offered on their site. This year when the the FTW were avail, I was first one of first to snag off their site when they directly offered. They probably rush product out the door so fast due to demand that they skimp on quality control. I'm simply going to call tomorrow, request RMA. No more troubleshooting, no more documenting. I'm done and I consider my time valuable. If they deny it or give me a hard time because its aesthetics, well then I'm going back to buying ASUS ROG products. I'll even pay the 15-20% EVGA restocking fee and be done with it. Just that simple...

wow this is lame, eVGA. Luckily I haven't bought the FTW card yet...so maybe I should just not buy it and go for ASUS STRIX instead.

mp117117, EVGA did go ahead and setup advance RMA for me. I didn't even have to call them or do any follow up. My email sent last Friday with images I pasted here were sufficient. Kudos to James Lac at EVGA for taking this initiative. I'll definitely be buying a pair of the EVGA GTX 1080ti's if/when they release them next year.

Happen to me today TWICE. This is way more annoying than the led color problem. If OC scanner starts, even if u close it there is no way to stop it (the card keep boosting to max boost in idle) until a reboot. This need to be fixed as soon as possible.

mbvincelli, did they send both your cards advanced RMA at the same time? The rep I am talking to says he will not do that for me even after I sent him to this thread....

This is my first post on the EVGA forums. Sad to say that my first post will be acknowledging that my FTW also does not save the color after a reboot. I have sent in a support ticket to ask about this. I would hope it is just something that needs to be fixed in the next software update on Precision. Nevertheless, this is my 3rd 1080, and my last. Regardless of whether or not I have to set the color of my card every time I boot my computer, this card has been phenomenal. I have had the Zotac Amp and Asus Strix previously, and while they were both great cards, I much prefer my FTW. Boosted higher than the other two out of the box (2025mhz). Now lets just get this RGB taken care of EVGA!

Just wanted to say that after a bit of confusion the EVGA team offered me an advanced RMA on both cards. EVGA continues to be the leader in customer support. While I was upset that my cards weren't perfect, EVGA is making it right and i'm glad I purchased from them.

I think I have a similar problem with my 2 1080 FTW SLI setup. On startup it only seems to save 1 of the LED color profiles and the other card it resets back to white. Once I click the second card in the Precision X program it then changes the color. Its also possible I just set up the profile wrong, I'm used to using MSI Afterburner and not familiar with Precision X. At least for me it allows the led color profile to stay even after closing out precision x and switching to running afterburner.

EVGA_JacobF Thanks for the heads up, we should be able to fix this.
Can you confirm whether or not the RGB issue is ongoing? I have spoken to EVGA tech support and he indicated that the issue of RGB not saving was corrected in the last update of Precision. He advised that I should try to reinstall Precision as well as disable some of the programs that auto-start on boot, and unfortunately neither of those suggestions helped.

As much as I hate that you are experiencing the same issue as I am, I'm glad to hear I am not the only one. Sorry that yours does not save either!! I am sure they will come up with a fix soon. There is a reason why I chose EVGA over the other guys.

We are making a change on this to write the selected LED color to firmware instead, this should resolve all the issues.

That is great news. I would assume that if you are implementing it being written to the firmware that it would likely save it's color even if you don't have Precision set to run on boot. Either way, very happy to hear this! Thanks for the update.

Does the color save after a reboot? If it does, when you boot up, is it a different color until Precision loads and then when Precision loads, it goes back to the color you set before turning the computer off?

Can you please go over what you have done in settings? I must be an idiot because no matter what I do, I cannot get these RGB's to save. It stinks because this FTW is the best 1080 I have had performance wise, but this RGB not saving is driving me bonkers.
Any help would be incredibly appreciated!!!
