So, I bought a 1080 FTW Hydro Copper last week from NewEgg. Assumed it uses standard G1/4 fittings, but guess not?
Started to breakdown and clean out my loop this week and when I went to place some 45-degree Bitspower and XSPC G1/4 fittings, none of them fit.
Straight compression fittings worked, G1/4 extensions worked, but none of my 45-degree fittings worked.
The strange thing is that on the ports that face out, where the label is, the 45-degree fittings worked perfectly. However, on both the top and bottom ports, the thread size seems to small. I saw other Hydro coppers that had the same issue with Bitspower:
I tried to thread one on with some force by hand, but managed to only get the fitting to make 1 full turn. I checked the thread and it started shave/cut a new thread.
So, is this an issue? with my 45-degree Bitspower/XSPC fittings? I have some 90-degree Bitspower they haven't tried yet, they are being used in an external loop i have running, flushing out my rads and other blocks
