Just got my brand new 1080 classified today and I am loving it. However it seems like it is running slower than it should. I am only getting 14,700 scores on normal Fire Strike and I dont want a bad card :/

I am running a 4770k OCed to 4.0 with 16gbs of Ram and a 1000 Watt Power Supply.
I have no touched the OC on the card yet.

If your GPU score is close to or over over 21K then you are good.

Your CPU counts heavily towards the overall score, and a 4C i7 CPU will have a much lower score than a 6, 8, or 10C Intel i7.

YA but that still seems low.
    I was getting 14k-15k with a 4770k + a 980TI FTW.

I would do multiple runs. Second, post a link. Also, close all unnecessary programs in Windows.

That score is off though. I get 17K+ with my OC'd 4790K and 980ti Classy.

Also any chance of OCing the card is out of the window. For some dumb reason the drivers crash at a mere +75mhz overclock...

    Disappointed.

Sometimes 3dmark fails to read your system information correctly.

New Card isn't updated in their system yet. Wait a few days and it will show up as a 1080. I am worried about the OCing capability of my card though. Can only get it to 2025 (+50) without it crashing. Is this normal?

    Normal. All cards overclock differently.

Wow the silicon lottery was not in your favor if that is the case. Just proves that the upper level 1080's are (potentially) no better beyond the ref card with a block or something.

Do you have an EVBot to try upping the voltage?

Evbot does not currently show a firmware update for 1080 on the Evbot page. That may cause issues or a lack of functionality if it isn't programmed for the card yet.

Both your CPU and GPU show a little on the low side, GPU more than CPU.  Try updating your motherboard bios first and try it again.

Similar platform with some differences but should be scoring pretty similar.

I think the update should help.

Don't think that would help much with my old Z86-GD65 Gaming. Plus you have 2 980's which would get better scores. The Graphic Scores for a 1080 should be about 21k.

Updating the motherboard BIOS should help exactly because it's 'old'.  May have updates to either fix the bug or problem.

Hmm will try that tommorow. I played GTA V with max settings only getting 85 FPS with drops to 55. A 980 TI is better. My i7-4770k isn't limiting me that much right?

It sounds like you got a faulty card. A FE 1080 with no OC can run GTA V better than you.

Heck, a FE 1070 is better than your card.

I read on reddit some other guys Classy topped off at 1996, cant even make 2.0..
Did you get the 1080 Classified DT? Or the 1080 Classified.

A Graphics Score of 23749 is good and totally within the range of OCed 1080s. But your card doesn't seem to be a good OCing card, because with high core clocks 24000 or even 25000 points should be possible.
    Try the voltage curve: http://forums.evga.com/Fi...ge-curve-m2517519.aspx
It is a pity that even Founders Edition cards can OC as good or even better. My 1080FE (water cooled) can get beyond 25000 graphics score.

Maybe I will just RMA and get another one that might be better at OCing. Can't get much worse than this, I didnt pay 50$ more than the founder's edition just for lights you know.

    I saw now ASUS GTX1080 Strix graphic 22.800, MSI GTX1080 22.700
But your Physics Score is low is well, you keep CPU on 3.5GHz???
i7-6700K 4.4GHz give 14.000 Physics score, your CPU only 9.000.
Push him little more and reinstall few drivers, maybe you recover graphic somehow...
Score is not extremely bad, but it's not nice, should be 600-700 points higher...

Intel plan to customers keep i7-4770K at least on Turbo clock 3.9GHz...
Keeping him on 3.5GHz is very bad. That's shame keeping K processor on stock frequency.
I'm not fan of draining last MHz and overvolting because of that, but 3.9GHz or even better 4.2GHz is nothing for him.
i7-4790K from same generation work on 4.4GHz Turbo, that should be your target. 1200-1250V you can do that.

When you buy an extreme overclocking card for air or water use, you really are just paying for pretty lights. I am a classified owner, and I will tell you right off the bat, there is no point unless it is on sale. I usually buy my classified for cheaper than a standard card when they go on sale. This massive misconception that the extra vrm is going to make your card overclock better on air is a huge mistake that is constantly addressed and ignored by 95% of users that still believe the pcb is going to change the overclock ability.

Just go take a look at the classified thread. I tried warning people.

Before someone says "But K|ngp|n overclocked to 2.2ghz" first say, "but K|ngp|n has a benchmarking lab and gets to test many cards, so the cherry picked one is just that.. Cherry picked for those results".

    ^ X infinity

OCing the 10 series is kinda bill since Nvidia's GPU boost 3.0 pretty much does everything now, and the end user can only eek out a tiny bit more. 1900MHz OC is on the low end, 2100MHz is the high end. There are some, rare, outliers that go above and below that. The difference is a couple of FPS - good only for epeen contests.

If you expect better OC performance from the 10 series because you paid more for your card with more power connectors and VRMs - you are deluding yourself hard core, and didn't see what folks have been saying about them since they were released.
