My advice, return it if you can.  If you RMA it you will be without for a couple weeks only to receive a possibly second defective product.

That would be a nice solution if they will allow it.  The multi week downtime is one of the biggest problems.  Also make sure to check out the Thermal Pad Mod they are offering now, although I would suggest you RMA that card as some damage may already be done.

This happens as soon as you start gaming ?
Can you see what temps your GPU is running when this happens ?
Are you manually overclocking ?

Are you overclocking? If so, remove the OC and test again. Visual artifacts like those point to faulty VRAM.

If you aren't overclocking (or even if you are), did you update the VBIOS to the latest version? It fixes a problem with voltage states and Micron VRAM - http://forums.evga.com/EV...04500070-m2565056.aspx

I have not updated the Bios yet. I did order the thermal pads. It only happens when i put any overclock on the GPU. My core is running at 67-68C when gaming. No where near high temps. I am guessing it is a Vram. It run fine with out any overclock. I will update when i get home today. Thanks for the link. If it still have problems i will RMA the card.

What a jerk - way to help out the poor guy coming here for advice.

As said above - that looks like bad VRAM.  If you have your VRAM overclocked, remove the overclock and see if things improve.  If not, RMA the card.

You should download and install GPU-Z, which can be found here:
https://www.techpowerup.c...hpowerup-gpu-z-v1-12-0

And check if your GeForce GTX 1070 has Memory by Micron.

(I have marked the Memory type in red so you know where to look).

If it says Micron here (Hynix in my example), you will need to update the firmware of the card, as there is a known problem
with GeForce GTX 1070 and Micron Memory that can cause artifacts just like the ones you are seeing.

I've seen at least one person with Samsung memory and graphical glitches where the update did fix the problem.

So I'd try it even if you don't have Micron memory, and it is compatible (just follow the instructions!).

Worst case is you got a card that doesn't over clock very well - which isn't guaranteed, just the as sold as clockspeeds are guaranteed.
