I've been hearing a lot of bad things about 10 series cards that came with Micron VRAM(aka Elpida). I was wondering if anyone had any luck with these cards or if they've had nothing but problems. I'll start off. So far, I am very pleased with my newest toy!

Games tested with my 1070 SC @1080p/Fast Sync/373.06 drivers:

Star Wars BF 2015: 120FPS
Ultra+FXAA High
Motion Blur:50%
FoV: 110

Batman AK:90FPS capped
16x AF
AA on/Textures Normal
Shadows+Detail High
GW on except interactive smoke/fog/debris off

TW3:100-120FPS
Post processing:Highest
Graphics:Ultra
HBAO+
HW off (not worth a 20~FPS performance hit)

Very nice! DAYUM!!!11000 MHz memory OC? And forkay textures? Makes me wish I went for the 1080 when my wife offered. She surprised me with the 1070, but she probably purposely ignored the 1080's on the shelf, lol.

Ok, I'll Play.  I brought my GPU last week of august and no Crashes or Hangs so far on an estimated 200+ Hours of gaming.  Around 600 hrs on the Desktop.

Running an EVGA GTX1070 FTW (micron) on an Asus Sabertooth Z77, 16 gigs of Patriot DDR3 @ 1866 CL9-1T, driven by an i7-2600K.
Speedstep enabled and "Balanced" on Win7-x64.
    Nothing overclocked.

I did a GPU boost 3.0 OC on my 1070 FTW at one point dropped it to test issues in games and will likely add that in the next day or 2 with results. That said I just ran a Firestrike run on normal (mostly use this for 1080p with no OC after my +50 mhz 960) and with a custom curve only reached 63C. The curve gets highly aggressive after the 60C mark but it keeps it cool and this is in a case so I hardly hear it. For those of you who want to see results and specs this is a GTX 1070 FTW with only power target and temp target up, no OC, running an i7 6700K OCed to 4.5 GHz (highest this one goes to stably).

After Firestrike extreme I did play one of the games on my computer that is the hardest on the GPU. All stats are from the Precision OC log file.

The SC and base model share the same PCB, so I'll throw in my 1080 ACX 3.0 base model (mind, this PCB has a single 8 pin power plug and only a (edit) 5+1 VRM!):

4K in games I can't crank up the eye candy all the way (as expected). However, my 4K TV also does 120Hz 1080p! So I'm gaming at 1080P 120Hz mostly with eye candy cranked to the max - getting super fluid (>120FPS) gameplay/FPS from Shadow Warrior 2! (4K does dip below 60 FPS - AWESOME game! And I can't believe they're selling it for $35...)

Don't have caps handy at the moment but on my 1070 FTW I have to make sure the core clock stays under 2.1GHz or I get a BSOD, with a voltage bump I can get it to stay at 2075MHz with a lower initial clock increase and an aggressive fan curve and be stable but without the voltage being raised it usually settles at 2050/2062MHz but I need the core clock increased more or it'll throttle below it. At stock it'll initially boost to 1988MHz and eventually settle at 1932MHz. On the VRAM side I can't go past 8500MHz without checkerboarding and a BSOD due to the BIOS issue with voltage regulation on Micron memory. Looking forward to the update this week and seeing how or if it improves things. After the update I'll do more testing.

I've only done a few runs of Heaven and Firestrike since applying the BIOS update and it's early but so far the VRAM hasn't crashed after increasing it to 8900MHz, gave 9000MHz a try and was still a no go, still much better than it was before.

Unfortunately hitting power limit with 2164MHz core and +700Mhz Vram offset (4704Mhz). Hoping for a custom bios in the near future.

I have the gtx 1070 FTW with micron memory. After the bios update and a slight oc on the gpu +89 (2100mhz) and memory +305 (4314mhz).

Here is my FireStrike Score: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/15533423

    Heaven Benchmark:
    FPS: 116.3
    Score: 2929
    Render: Direct3D11
    Mode: 1920x1080 8xAA fullscreen
    Preset: Custom
    Quality: Ultra
    Tessellation: Normal

Even though the memory seems to be at the max, I am pretty excited with it.

Heh, our rigs are pretty similar. Good gauge of what my scores will be. I'm still tweaking stuff before running benchmarks.

Evga GTX 1080FE with Hybrid cooler. Temps are so much better it's crazy. But this is pretty much 24/7. Can't go any higher on core clock but memory can do 600 but my fps seems lower when its that high.
Sorry for not using evga precision but I like afterburner graph since it shows me temps for everything.

Currently playing @ 2560x1440 and Overwatch at max settings gets me around 145-175 fps haven't seen it drop under 145fps. Waiting for BF1 tomorrow to test out.

Your specs are pretty similar to mine, what boost clock do you get? I really wanted that MB, but couldn't find it in stock. Next best thing was the SLI edition.
    Thanks!

    1070 FTW
2177mhz Core Peak with +175 offset, drops bins until it hits 2139mhz with lowest observed clock at 2114mhz.
Memory won't go past +300 offset (8600mhz) which is super meh because that's where the performance is at with this GPU. Micron...

I seem to get slightly lower stability on high clocks with the slave bios. Both are updated to include the Micron fix, but haven't noticed any difference, not in stability or higher mem clock. It did 8606mhz just like the old BIOS.

It's a real shame because I have very nice temps and the core could probably go further, if I back off on the memory OC I can see 2190mhz on the same offset. All the while with custom fan profile (1:1 temp/fan delta with a bump at 60 C) and core never gets past 60 C @ 122% pt and 100% voltage.

So... kudos to EVGA for sticking a pretty golden core unto a Micron memory PCB. *first world problems*

Odd thing about these drivers.  I clocked the Reference ACX 3.0 1080 to +250 Core and +200 Mem on Timespy, but had to clock it to +240 Core and +200 Mem on Firestrike.  Odd, indeed.

Often times with newer drivers they increase efficiency, power drawn, etc. This will cause an overclock that worked fine on previous drivers to crash. It happens a lot more if you overclock to the very limit of the GPU's capability.

That's not even going into the fact that DX12 runs different extensions that the GPU is capable of that DX11 cannot run, and so what is stable for DX11 is not necessarily true for DX12.

Thanks to the BIOS update I finally broke 20k Firestrike gpu score with my 1070 SC Black Edition. +160, +600 and still going.  Before I couldn't get 380 without checkerboarding.

Still rocking my OG X58 Classified 3 with an old grandpa Xeon X5650 on the vintage PCIE 2.0 interface.  Who said oldie's can't hang with the young guns?

I ran this last night while testing SLI overclock settings.  I'll punch up the CPU this weekend and see if I can break 16k graphics.  2 x 1080 FTWs at 2164 / 11000

Not bad for just a test run.

Single card testing on air before I put the blocks on, I saw 2200+ for TimeSpy.  It ran best around 2193 though.
